Artemis Boosts SmartGARP Team
Artemis is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacob de Tusch-Lec to its highly acclaimed SmartGARP team of Philip Wolstencroft and Peter Saacke.
Prior to joining Artemis, de Tusch-Lec was a Pan-European equity
strategist at Merrill Lynch and Co, and he is, therefore, no stranger
to the systematic analytical process of SmartGARP.
de Tusch-Lec, who joins Artemis on 1st November will have responsibility
for the UK equity component of SmartGARP, thus adding research and
analytical input to both Mark Tyndall, manager of the Artemis Capital
Fund and to John Wood, manager of the Artemis Institutional UK Alpha
Fund.
Commenting on the appointment Mark Tyndall, CEO of Artemis, said “I am very pleased to welcome Jacob to the SmartGARP team. The substantial growth of funds under management during the past 12 months (£4bn as at 30th September 2004 - £7.5bn as at 30th September 2005) has necessitated adding to our internal analytical resource.”
SmartGARP, Artemis’ proprietary quantitative stock selection
tool, is used to identify mispriced stocks by systematically measuring
the financial characteristics of companies and industries.
