Artemis Income Fund Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Artemis Fund Managers’ Income Fund celebrates its 5th anniversary at the top, having achieved the number one position out of the 64 funds in the IMA UK Equity Income sector.
The Artemis Income Fund, run by Adrian Frost, since January 2002, and Adrian Gosden (both Citywire-rated), has delivered returns of more than 77% since its launch five years ago, compared to a fall of more than 6% for the FTSE 100 over the same period.* The fund has consistently outperformed, featuring in the top quartile over one, three, and five years.
The aim of the Income Fund is to produce a rising income with capital growth. The portfolio is primarily made up of UK investments including ordinary shares, convertibles, and fixed interest securities. Adrian Frost said: “Income investors tend to be conservative by nature but understand the overwhelming value of a high and increasing income stream. The fund offers an economically diversified portfolio whilst paying particular attention to the free cash flow characteristics of the underlying investments. The ability of companies to generate cash over and above the immediate needs of the business is at the heart of generating dividend growth for investors.”
Nick Wells, Product and Communications Director said: “The
Artemis Income Fund is ideally suited to investors’ long term
income needs whilst aiming to maintain their capital in real terms.
The impressive record demonstrated by the talented Artemis Income
team fully validates their investment approach.”
Ends
The fund currently stands at £935m.
